Our Colour coded shim stock is produced in POLYESTER up to 0.35mm and in POLYPROPYLENE in the thicker grades. POLYESTER has very high compressive and dielectric strengths, very low water absorption, excellent dimensional stability and good chemical resistance. POLYPROPYLENE is affected by concentrated solutions of oxidising agents, esters, ethers, chlorinated hydrocarbons, petrol and paraffin.
