ceramic-paper-gaskets

Ceramic C48 paper gaskets are designed for continuous use up to a maximum temperature of 1250 C. They exhibit excellent strength and flexibility enabling them to withstand severe mechanical handling; they are light in weight, have good resistance to thermal shock and excellent insulating properties.

C48 is manufactured using advanced paper making techniques from high purity 1250 C ceramic fibre, together with a small quantity of an organic binder. The binder, which will burn off during service, is specifically chosen to avoid any unpleasant or toxic products of combustion. The techniques employed during the manufacture of C48 ensure uniform fibre structure and close control of thickness.
